Under the agreement, CSI Energy Storage will provide commissioning services, along with long-term warranties and performance guarantees. The deal builds on CSI Energy Storage’s relationship with Pulse. In May, Pulse tapped CSI Energy Storage to provide the engineering, procurement, and construction services for 100 MWh across four projects. The agreement also included a 10-year long-term services agreement for facility operation and maintenance. Green Frog Power was re-branded as Pulse Clean Energy following its October 2021 acquisition by the Investment Management Corp. of Ontario. It invested in nine diesel generation sites in the UK, which are being decommissioned and repurposed as battery storage assets. Pulse said it has a pipeline of more than 2,000 MWh of grid-scale battery storage and energy optimization opportunities across the UK. In September, CSI Energy Storage launched its energy storage battery product, and announced plans to expand its battery manufacturing capacity from 2.5 GWh to 10 GWh by the end of 2023. SolBank is a lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) chemistry-based battery enclosure with up to 2,800 kWh of energy capacity. It includes liquid cooling and humidity control, and active balancing battery management system technologies. The battery is produced in Jiangsu Province in China. CSI Energy Storage said it has deployed more than 2.4 GWh of battery energy storage solutions across the U.S., Canada, the UK, and China. As of September 30, its pipeline was pegged at nearly 25 GWh.
